Our Travel Essentials

Tomorrow, we are travelling to France for 3 weeks.  Eep!  Amongst the madness of washing, organising and packing, I thought you would like to know what my top 10 travel essentials are when travelling with the boys... I must be mad... or avoiding packing!

1. Cosatto Supa Cuddle Monster 2 Stroller

We adore our Cosatto Supa for many, many reasons.  Apart from the obvious compact-ability of it, it also has some great little features that help a Mama and Daddy out.  We love the cup holder for our coffee, the insert for your smartphone so your baba can watch Hey Duggee! on the go AND the fact that it has SPEAKERS to plug it in to give your little one the ultimate cinematic experience!

2.  The BabyBjorn Travel Cot Light in Whale Blue

We are staying in various places during our super duper holiday in France: tents, caravans and a cottage.  I want something light to pack in the car and something easy to set up... oh and also something that looks good for photos ya know!  The Baby Bjorn Travel Cot Light  is PERFECT for all those things!  It packs down into a little bag, it's easy to pop up and down (see image below) and it's also comfy, which is so important for Winter... and us because we ALL want a good night's sleep!

3.  Skip hop moonlight melodies lamb

FullSizeRender.jpg

Now this is a must.  Winter has grown so attached to his Skip Hop Moonlight Melodies Lamb and has to cuddle her before he falls asleep.  It plays soothing music and projects the moon and stars in various colours and to be honest, it sends us all into a deep, calming sleep!

4.  Ergobaby adapt baby carrier in azure blue

We have had quite a few baby carriers but this one is by far our absolute favourite.  The Ergobaby Adapt Baby Carrier in Azure Blue in versatile and comfortable for both me and Winter.  It has a sun guard and 3 different adjustments as your child grows.  I'm looking forward to going on long walks wearing this because it protects Winter and is postioned on my back in a way that doesn't as strain as I carry him.

5.  The sleepyhead grand 8-36 months

Oh this kid sleeps so well in his Sleepyhead Grand.  It finds perfectly inside his travel cot and adds extra comforts and protection for him as he sleeps.  It also travels really well and acts as a play mat wherever we are too!

6. Miffy's world app

FullSizeRender.jpg

This one is for Jonah and something to keep him busy on those long journeys into France.  When Jonah is playing games or watching programmes on the ipad, I want to make sure that they are not just rubbish (I've seen those youtube videos!)  and at least a little bit educational.  At age 4, Miffy's World is perfect for him to learn about routine as he enters Miffy's everyday world, making her brush her teeth, get dressed and even have a bath!

7.  cybex pallas-fix blue moon

FullSizeRender.jpg

This is Jonah's car seat and it is solid.  The Cybex Pallas-Fix grows with your child whilst always ensuring they are safe in the car to the highest level.  It's comfortable and bright and Jonah genuienly makes Jonah's journey more enjoyable (and safe!)  Please note that the car was not in motion during the photo below!

8.  The firenze pacapod in pewter

FullSizeRender.jpg

I had a friend come visit me this weekend and I was like a sales woman with this bag, showing her all the different compartments and parading in front of her to show her how great it is as my 'everyday handbag' too!  The quality of this Pacapod Firenze is impeccable and it seriously is THE BEST Mama bag there is.  I'm reluctant to call it a nappy bag because I use it so much as my handbag too, it feels like it is mine more that Winter's!

9.  Pipity activity case

FullSizeRender.jpg

I haven't showed this to Jonah yet, but he is all set for the drive down to the Dordogne with this beauty!  Made locally to me by the lovely Kate, these kits from Pipity are compact but yet bursting with the potential for creativity.  There are various activity books to top up your case and inspire your little ones and to put their busy hands to good use!

10.  Cosatto Hug (5 Point Plus) 1/2/3 ISOFIX Car Seat-Cuddle Monster 2

FullSizeRender.jpg

This is the throne of all car seats... (I could make a joke about Winter is coming/here, some Game of Thrones thing)... but I'm not that clever.  Anyway, look how comfy Winter is in this seat below!  It has an 'anti escape system' which I love because this little wriggle chops loves nothing more than to try and get out of things.  I'm confident that Winter will be both comfortable and safe on our summer travels with this super fun and stylish Cosatto Hug Car Seat.

11.  Jetkids bedbox

FullSizeRender.jpg

Ok, so we are at number 11... I was never good at maths!  I couldn't possibly leave out these little beauties as they are going to be so important on our trip! Although we aren't flying this time, these Jetkids Bed Box suitcases are compact, perfect for the car and perfect as an aid to limiting my over packing for the boys!  Jonah has a blue one that he has decorated with these cool stickers provided in the box, and Winter has a red one which Jonah I'm sure, will decorate tomorrow.  If you are flying, these are the perfect way to add comfort to the journey for your little loves, as you can see from the picture below, they turn a standard plane seat into a bed!

Ok kids, we are done here!  I had better stop faffing around and go and pack all these wonderful items in the car.  Each one of these is going to add a little bit of ease and extra enjoyment to our holidays, I hope I've inspired you and introduced you to some real gems!
