My Busy Life and Same Day Delivery with Tesco

Working full-time and being a parent is tough.  What I mean by this is that it is difficult to keep on top of things at home around this big obstacle of having a 9-5 in addition to running a household.  One thing that has eased that time pressure recently is discovering that Tesco have now introduced a same day delivery service which means that I can order groceries during my coffee break, to arrive just in time for dinner!  This means I can spend that extra hour at home cuddling on the sofa and watching some Paw Patrol!

Widbrook Grange - Our Romantic Getaway

All parents NEED a break... I think we forget in the madness of parenthood to take care of ourselves, whether that be yourself singular, or you and your partner being able to spend some time together without there being little humans throwing food, banging the oven door CONSTANTLY (maybe that one is me specific) or having to shout over their screeches and screams. We get so involved in being parents that we don't think that a break can really make you appreciate what you have and give you an energy boost you didn't realise you were desperately in need of.  I didn't appreciate that fully until Chris and I spent a night at the beautiful Widbrook Grange in Wiltshire in June this year.

Stranger Things Season 1 - The Ultimate Recap #netflixstreamteam

Turn off the lights and wait for the synths to kick in, that’s right my friends, Stranger Things is back! If you were anything like me, you embarked upon Season One with little to no expectations. It didn’t take long before this shows 80s-esque soundtrack, beguiling mythological and outstanding child acting had me hooked and bingeing as many episodes as my wife would allow. Back to School with Kickers

The beginning of September firmly feels like the door closing on Summer and opening into a new stage of the year; Autumn and Winter approaching and a brand new academic year.  This can bring a mixture of emotions; from parents' relief after a long, perhaps trying spell of the kids at home, to anxiety and sadness for mums and dads seeing their little one entering a new stage of their life.  We are very much the latter, with Jonah starting in Foundation on Monday and the 'back to school to-do list,' is very new to me.

Why going to a festival isn't what it used to be (and that ain't a bad thing).

We are busy getting ready to go to Camp Bestival this week, with only 1 sleep to go as I write. Eep! Set in the ground of the gorgeous Lulworth Castle in Dorset, Camp Bestival is described as 'a multi-award winning festival that combines an all-encompassing family festival experience with an action packed camping holiday.' I'll level with you...I'm excited and anxious in equal measures.  You see, this is our first festival as a family and from what I can recall from previous festival experiences (ahem... shall we say quite a few moons ago?) it was NOT exactly a family friendly experience.
